square setup or not?

Looking at a running a square setup, 18x10, 275s all around. Anyone see any issues? Anyone else run that? Why are tires/rim sizes tapered anyway?

Thanks

If you don't feel like waiting, just search. There's like one a week.

275/35/18 is probably the most popular track setup, adds front traction, eliminates most under steer, makes it easier to rotate the car in turns, and allows you to rotate tires for wear on the track.

For straight line running, put 295 or 305's on the back to maximize rear traction....

Many will debate this, but although I'm confident square 275 is a good setup because you can rotate and save $, that is at the expense of maximum grip. Running 305/275 or 295/275 should produce more maximum grip, and the E92's are tail-happy even with a slight stagger.

Running square is definitely going to get good grip and a lot of people love it, but I'm going 295/275. My 2c.
