Question Any Local Guys do the "Clutch Pedal Spring Removal mod"?

Hey Whats Up Guys!

Curious if any local 6MT guy's have done the Clutch Pedal spring removal mod? If so what year is your M and how has it effected your overall feel of the clutch, would you recommend it? I have a 09, and think the clutch pedal is decent. I feel its got a lot of play, meaning that its got alot of room from engagement point to the floor. Just ordered a clutch pedal stop from ebay, which I was recommended by another memeber which I hope will address this problem.

Wondering if this is something worthwhile in performing to the car, and if so where have you had it done? DIY? Dealer? And from my understanding there is a new part that needs replacing?

Thanks in advance!

I have the clutch spring mod. It makes the clutch a lot stiffer and raw feeling. You can also feel the engagement point a lot better. It makes the car a little harder to drive. IMO I'd rather have it with the clutch spring still in place.

I'm kind of confused...wouldn't feeling the engagement point better, make the car easier to drive?

In other words you regret doing it? Can't you put it back?

Today I took part the area around the clutch pedal to see if the spring was really removed. Turns out the previous owner told me the wrong thing. To my surprise the clutch spring was still there. Now I'm wondering what the clutch pedal will feel like without it.
