realistic or not?
Hey guys, its getting closer and closer to the month of August, which is when i plan on buying a car. I have about a $33,000 budget and im looking to get an M3. iv been looking at 2006 M3's because i thought that even considering the new body was way out of proportion but im seeing that i can find a few 2006's, actually, in excellent condition with about 30k(different for each) miles on it for about $28-$29,000. This brings me to the question, would i be able to find an 08' E92 (coupe) M3 for $33,000 with 50-55k, MAYBE 60k miles on it? Iv looked around used car websites online and seen some for 36,000, but do you guys think i can wagger them down to 33?
tl;dr Would i be able to find an 08' E92 (coupe) M3 with at MOST 60k miles on it for no more than $33,000? thanks |

Im in the same seat as you. Ive been looking for a coupe with close to 40-50k miles for under 40k. Its not rare, but hard to find.

Sounds like a used 335i. If you can't stretch your budget by 5k-10k, are you sure you can handle paying for anything that may go wrong with an out of warranty car?

e90 is the sedan
e91 is the wagon e92 is the coupe e93 is the vert e90 m3's sticker for lower than the coupe for what ever reason so it makes sense they are on average cheaper used |

Wow i forgot about the 335i/ix completely, you've just opened up a whole nother option for me. Is an 07/08 335i/ix "better" than a E46 06 M3? (performance wise) Also, yea i will be able to fix any problems that may, hopefully not, go wrong with the car. Its just that i need, and absolutely NEED, a car by August and my budget at this current time for just purchasing the car is $33k. I appreciate the look out though ![]() |

Im not a big fan of 4 door cars so in this case id prefer a 06 E46 over an 08 E90, although, it WOULD preform better and probably have more "accessories" in it.

sounds like you're stretching your budget, maybe not the best idea. Do not underestimate the gas you'll use, especially right when you get the car, you'll want to drive the damn thing all the time. Add to that almost all maintenance (except fuel pump, hehe) will be more to considerably more than a normal 3-series. Good luck.
