Haha no I let them stay where they are until the next track event/session. The boogers almost all get stuck on there in the cool down lap when you're going slower and possibly off line.
On a related note, it is pointless to get a tire shop to balance used race slicks. I had some pirelli WC slicks shipped to me for cheap used, and they had lots of boogers. Normally I don't get race tires balanced, but this shop tried and ended up using like 20 little weights to try to compensate for the boogers. First session on track the boogers melted off and I was left with a wheel with a ton of weights that caused it to have tons of vibration. |

Between all of the rubber bits and sheets of brake dust on the inside of my wheels after a track day, I feel like I should be wearing goggles and a ventilator mask when I clean them off before throwing them in the car!

I have had this issue on my Vette with various wheels and with both my sets of (Apex &Motorsport MT1)track wheels on my M3.I was looking at a set of HRE's that the bead area was knurled which I am sure would help with this issue.I marked my last set mounted the rears moved a lot more than fronts which also rotated a fair bit.I usually start at pressures of 30-28 psi and end up with 38-42 depending on the track.

Ha ha! Yeah I was picking goobers all day yesterday after my 2 day event.
I've also found that the steering wheel vibrates quite a bit on my warm-up lap, but then the boogers eventually fall off when the tires heat up and all is well. |
