M3 vs 2x4 on I45, tire bruised

Howdy all
Not sure what the 2x4 was doing in the middle of the Interstate but I nicked it. Front right wheel took the hit, no damage to the wheel, no cuts or cracks on the tires, but from the impact and deformation the tire now has a bump/bruise on it as if I hit my head with that dumb 2x4.
Is the sidewall integrity compromised? Safety?

Thanks, I'd hate to have to replace a tire with only 7000 miles on it but don't want it to blow up either.

Bubble on the sidewall? I'd replace it without question - No doubt.

Sounds like a sidewall blister - replace it.

Definitely replace it. I-45 seems to collect all kinds of stuff like that. Glad it wasn't worse.

yeah, glad I had the 18s, not the 19s. Could have been rim damage. Bubble describes it pretty well.
At 7000 miles of no-crazy driving, one new tire or two? Don't think I can measure with anything but there's a ton of tread left.

new tire ordered. Sidewall-blister they call it. It's beginning to open up, not driving anymore till I go to get the tire installed. Stupid crap on the interstate. :-(
