I don't think it would be accurate to say they will go fast just because 300 will be sold. This is simply a supply/demand issue. For whatever reason, Audi has decided to build a limited number for the US market, so they can jack up the price (move up the price curve). I doubt that BMW has such a low production target for the M3 coupe, so if they want to sell more than 300, they will price it for much less than $82k.

Personally 82k for a frickin' V8 a4 Cab is crazy, but then again so is the cost of everything....
