Touching-Up a Chip

I got a nice chip on the edge of my hood yesterday thats slightly larger than a pencil eraser. (Pencil rubber for all you U.K. folks) It went right down to the primer.

I used Dr. Colorchip and notice that the solution not only cleans-up the smudges but also pulls the paint out of the chip and prevents leveling of the paint. The paint also has no gloss to it so I was thinking about going over it with BMW clear touch-up, so long as the chemistry doesnt conflict.

I'm willing to give Langka a try but have some concerns.

1) IMO, every time I buy BMW touch-up paint, it's always too think to apply well. Would thinner work and if so, what thinner?

2) Langka, because it's formulated to work on touch-up paint, won't it also have an effect on the rest of the finish?

Any ideas????

How did the Langka work out? I'm about to give it a try over Dr. Color Chip.

I never used it. I stuck with Dr. Color Chip and kind of got the nak of applying it. It wound up working quite good.

Langka is not great. I used it on my old car. I'm ready to try Dr. Colorchip next time.
