M3 E90,92,93 future classic??

what do you guys think about the M3 e90 as a future classic M car?
It's probably going to be the only M3 whit NA V8, the last M car whit a NA motor as things are shaping up.

No, too many made. Never will be a classic but always a great sounding car.

Limited production does not make a classic.

An auto that retains its appeal is in my opinion the most definitive factor.

I agree with that.

Some people on here use the words "collector" and "classic" interchangeably. These two words do not mean the same thing.

And yes, I have my car vacuum sealed.

I see your point but here in Europe we are starting to see the prices for example the M3 E36 in mint condition are going up and both the M5 E34 3,6 and specially the 3,8 are being sold at good prices and are going up and are also quiet hard to come by in good condition, I'm just saying that about 40000 cars sold how many are still on the road after 20 years, specially whit a M car that people drive very hard.

Im incline to say the E92 M3 GTS would be consider a classic if you can afford one, also E46 M3 CSL.

Classic for sure - but need to wait 20 years like the e30 m3. Good luck putting up with the pain while you wait. Therefore for most of us it's irrelevant.

Not intending to be harsh, but who cares? Produced in large numbers, and if it were to become a classic it would be at least 20 years from now. Also, you would have to store and keep it in mint condition for it have to any potential for sizable appreciation. The M3 is not a Ferrari (and I mean that in a good way). For 18 months of daily driving, my M has been absolutely flawless. That's good enough for me.

I think it depends if you have other cars to drive and your passion for the M3.
I had the E36 3.0 and after that the E46 and I regret selling the E36, would have been nice to still have that car, not for the money but for the passion for the brand and the car.

classic car? no chance in hell. it's just a souped up 3 series, and you really don't wanna know how many E9X 3 series bmw sells a year. so what if it has a V8? The new mustang gt also has a v8, one that actually makes torque without the need to redline it every time, and is sold for half the price of an M3. Cars that become a classic usually have something very special or unique about them, they are usually pioneers that are the first to do something of historic significance. The M3 is good at a lot of things, but does not really excel at anything in particular. It doesn't really stand out at anything. It's just not unique or revolutionary.

Enjoy it drive the hell out of it take it to the track and use it, if in 3-4 years you still like it keep it!

I have a friend that has an E46 , 150k miles, 11 years, not one problem except speeding tickets, loves it wouldn't change it unless the cost to repair it is more than the cost of getting another e46 ... That's a pretty good story and something to look forward to...

It is a classic for him and if you spread the cost to own over 11 years that is a pretty good deal...

E46M3 ZCP (competition package from 2005 - 2006), 1M are the collectors items. I don't think E9XM3s will be collectors item.. possibly CRT or GTS...
