I think I agree with you. If you have colorful calipers, the black pops.

My Silver BBK goes on next Wednesday but I have Silver ZCP.

I was originally going to paint them Atlantis Blue but once I saw them in silver today I decided to keep them.

To really make the look complete you need a 380mm BBK with Silver calipers. This will give the black wheels a bigger contrasting disc as well as a contrasting color caliper so the wheel has a nice background. Black wheels otherwise get "lost" IMO. i.e. you can't see the wheel design.

Keep it silver so there are less black ones out there.

Greetings everyone! What's your feedback on those replica ZCP wheels sold on Ebay? I'm considering one because my job moved to the moon, potholes the size of craters everywhere and I don't want to compromise my OEM wheels. Pictures on ebay looks exactly the same as OEM though. Thanks in advance for the insights.

U can get the Matt black ZCP gts wheels from Tischer for $500 each. Keep them in good shape and there will always be a nice resale value as opposed to less quality copies.

I get a lot of compliments for my hyper black wheels. I actually wanted anthracite or gunmetal, but they weren't available at the time and I ended up with these. Added bonus, they do not show the dirt or brake dust at all.

Silver because once they are dirty, they turn black. So you have the best of both worlds. Clean them and they are silver again.

Matt or Satin black with AW. Fantastic contrast, suits the lines of the car.
* silver is dirty with brake dust 95% of the time. Annoying!
* ditto for gloss black

I wasn't sure, so I plastidipped mine (you can just peel it off when you want to), and am happy with the result. 15 months, and 20 track days later they still look OK
I now have dedicated track wheels, so I asked my wife if she wants the silver wheels back... she doesn't

Silver if the wheels are maintained well and kept clean consistently.

I had black wheels once and liked it for about 6 months. It depends on what the owner is going for.
Black = aggressive and wanting attention. Most people with black wheels seem to like the dark tint look too. (bleh)
Silver = Classy, minimal attention.
Gunmetal (or hyper black) is a nice middle ground and looks good on white.

I got matte titanium with a machined lip on my F430.

I'm thinking of doing something similar with my white M3. To me, the black is too much contrast with the white.

on AW, black is choice! That contrast and with the CF bits would be better than silver. I personally like silver because I have a black car, it's all about the contrast.

I have silver ZCP on Alpine White, but I really like my EC-7 track wheels in black.

Both look great but at my age (48) I'd have to go with the silver. To me, black is more kid racer looking which isn't a bad thing...if you're a kid racer.

ahem, i am 48, and the black track rims look nice. and i am no kid racer or ricer, etc. i am not one for bling, but the contrast is nice against the stark white.
