g-power skII, or not?

If all the sc on the market costed the same, which one woukd u choose? In other words if u could get gpower sk2 for the price of ess, would u get it over the other sc kits?
second question is if it reliable ... my car has about 45k miles, am i safe to put on a sc ? I do track it once a month... how muvh will fuel consumption suffer?

I'd never do the Gpower supercharger, anything that has you cutting structural parts of the car is not gonna happen in my garage.

What do you have to cut?

I believe gpower doesn't have an independent supply for oil.

I'd go ess because a) they're good b) they've made a lot of them.

I have the SKII, car runs extremely strong, no issues. Just dynoed on Saturday, and car put out 527whp and 402wtq. Will get the dynos up soon. The part that needs cutting is a front bracket that is a $200 OEM part. It is easily replaceable, and was certainly a non-issue for me. Happy to answer any other questions re: SK2.

Thanks. ESS requires some cutting of plastic parts too. Nothing structural too.
G-Power is well known in Europebut had some tune issues early on. I think it was mainly due to our crappy gas, particularly in Cali.

The front radiator support that needs to be cut is:

51 64 7 900 810

List price is ~$300

This is what needs to be done to it:

No thank you.

While it is not really structural, it's horrible looking and blocks the radiator. Plus, the air intake is directly over the headers.

top speed runs are great, but I can hit 200mph (indicated) in my car now.

So only $300 worth of damage? I was told it was around $900... Another thing that comes into play is the installation, I am under impression that GPower is a lot harder to install, is that correct?

The installation can be done without cutting the front.
We did this on a customers car.

Use the correct pulley size for the 600hp version and you will see massive power especially through the midrange.

G Power have sold a very large number of supercharges and they are very very good.

Always well over 520 whp on our dyno dynamics.

Uses a massive air to air intercooler and stays very cool through repeat hard driving.

G-Power's products are definitely some of the best on the FI market....not the cheapest though...

The range of responses is truly hilarious here.

"I would never do gpower"

Followed by...

"Gpower is extremely high quality"

Just goes to show that reality is often heavily distorted here.

Don't think it's unique to this site. Opinion spewed as fact is a much bigger issue than people think.

I was at the streetculture.de car show yesterday with my ESS powered car. I have only heard negative stuff about G-power here on the forum, but last night there were 2-3 Germans that came up to me and did not have too good of feedback on g-power. It just make me wonder what the real deal is.
