Dr. ColorChip question

I used this over some small chips in the paint and am very satisfied with the color match. I noticed though that the paint is not flush with the surface, at least not with one coat. I have tried making sure I blend in only the outside edges, but thought I would ask for advice.

Any suggestions? Is it as simple as multiple coats? The product is so easy to use, I can just make it a point to recoat the areas after washes until flush.

Thanks!

I have used it and will if a customer supplies it. It is great for an assortment of "random isolated" rock chips versus lets say 1-2 LARGE chips.

If it is a bumper I rather repaint 100% of the time. The hood and fenders, not so much.
