tire question
Hi everyone,
I got about 18k miles on my M3's stock PS2's, and just noticed the rears are wearing out (while the fronts still has a lot of tread left), especially on the outside. is this normal? or are my rears under/over-inflated? if I order from Tirerack, how do I get the tires installed? do I find a local shop to do it? lastly, I am looking at the PSS's and the DW's, and was wondering what are their relative tread wear? I know the PSS's are better performers and cost more, but just in terms of daily southern california freeway commute, which tire would last longer? Regards, Michael |

wear on the edges in normal driving is usually underinflated. wear in the center and not the edges is overinflated. if its just the outside edge that is worn this comes from track use usually or at least for me as the car is forcing that edge to work harder during cornering repeatedly, which isnt usually seen on the street.
