What is your favorite exhaust for M3/E92?

I'm looking at upgrading mine. Not interested in doing the self-mod to the OEM. What are YOUR favorite after market exhaust systems for the E92 M3? I am leaning toward something that has black tips... Any member feedback would be much appreciated!

I enjoy my dinan. Its similar in tone to OEM but a little more which is what I wanted. Honestly, most other exhaust combo's I've heard sound like loud garbage...I'll leave it at that.

This has been beaten to death! Go to the exhaust section - you can read for days and get all the opinions you want!

Bottom line is no one can answer your question for you. It's a personal thing. Just have to listen to different ones and find what you like. You can narrow it down quite a bit with the reviews though and the videos that are on here.

Head over to the exhaust section - good luck! Good news is there are so many ways to go, everyone can find that perfect sound and volume level they want. Let the hunt begin!

Yes, like other's have said - it's ALL personal preference. There are a ton of threads on this subject so just do a search. Personally, I enjoy the BMW M-performance and Eisenmann.

Remus Race

Check out the Remus Race system. Best sounding exhaust for the money in my opinion. Really great build quality as well.

I was looking at the Akra slip on. Amazing craftsmanship but pricy! I have heard the sound is not drastically different than stock and I wanted a loud system. The Remus fits like a glove and the exhaust tips look really awesome with the carbon fiber. Price was 2k all in with connecting pipes.

Go hear it for yourself, the sound is DRASTICALLY different then stock. Don't believe everything you hear until you see it with your own eyes or hear it with your own ears.

It's all about what you're looking for. I shopped exhausts for a long time before I bought the Akra Slip-On. When I go to meets and drive in caravans everyone talks about how great my car sounds and how the exhaust note is "perfect". However, it just depends on what you're looking for. The Arka is a deep throaty tone that has to be heard in person to appreciate. Most other exhaust systems I researched were either 1) too loud, or 2) too ricey and belonged on a Honda, not an M3. Hope that helps.

Easier said than done, I don't know anyone who owns the system. I know you can't rely on YouTube clips either. I was literally one click away from making the Akra purchase, I even still have the Akra app on my iPhone! Oh well, perhaps I will get one for the new one in 2014...

If I didn't care about my neighbors I would run the Eis Race with Challenge X pipe

but for now its Akra Evo and I love it.

Best looking exhaust, for both M3/335i IMO. Sounds amazing on the N54/N55. Not so sure as to the M3....
