Need educated advice/opinions please.

I have a 2012 E93 that I leased in November of 2011. It is a custom order vehicle that stickered for abt $82,500.00 USD. Do any of you have an educated guess on what the car is worth? To a BMW dealer and then retail. Wife wants a new house, so I gotta get rid of the car. Car has 1700 miles on it. Thanks in advance.

I'm sure you're gonna want to list the details of the car. Also, sticker doesn't mean much as you can order cars all day long at just over invoice.

If he really needs to get rig of it his best option is probably a lease swap.
Credits great, already have approval from 3 different sources. If I spend $3,000 to unload the car and save $1,000 a month for 8 months I come out $5,000 ahead. Just more money for a down payment and/or I can put $1,000 more in retirement or more paying down mortgage.

Bought the car for invoice, owe about $70,000 on the lease. I was hoping to sell it to a dealer for that so I wouldn't have to mess with selling it myself.

Thanks for the info.

Access the auction pages to get an objective estimate or just go to the dealer to investigate. When selling you are competing in the auction market if you attempt a turn in at the dealer. I went to the dealer to investigate turn in - to get a sedan instead, lol. Looking at the screen with the guy as reviewed recent auctions there were no low mile m3 for more than 60k. The m3 auctions are about 12% below what I was low balling. My car is a 2011 coupe and i wanted to get the latest 2011 m3 sedan - sitting on the lot. Needless to say, I kept my coupe.

My 2011 has 13k miles and they offered me 50k. Msrp was 71k and the car is honestly spotless. And they were already stimulated to offer 50k to get me into the other car. A straight up sale is less profitable to the dealer. I would suggest going to the dealer to get their take on it but do not get your hopes too high.

The only stimulus in buying a low mile car is the first owner takes a BIG hit on the cost to own.

And virtually every other notable option.

To give you an absolute run down I will have to go dig out the sticker. As I said earlier it listed for about $82,500.

Ha! That is hilarious!!! I wouldn't have to worry about selling the car, or having a wife if I posted pics of the wife. She's a great lady and a very attractive lady. I'll rest on that.

Hilarious or not... I still want to see the pics. JK. I'm not an expert on leases, but I am very certain that you WILL take a nice loss.

If you text me the last 7 of your VIN I can post the options for you so you don't have to go searching for the window sticker (202-262-2900). Good luck with the sale. Looks like there is a Carmax in OK City, not far from Tulsa. They would take the trade but at a considerable loss. Worth a shot if you just have to get rid of it.

Regards,

I wanted to give an update for informational purposes so others may benefit and to say thanks for the advice.

I sold my 2012 E93 yesterday to my local dealer. (I've purchased about 5 BMW's from them). I had $70,500 payoff on a lease that started in November. It had 1,675 miles on it. The car stickered for $82,500. Sold it for $72,000 USD. So all in all I am happy, more importantly my wife is happy!

Thanks again.
