Question...if you were pulling hard on him from 40mph up to 135mph, how was he in front of you when his car fell apart and hit your hood? Shouldn't he have been behind you? Maybe we just have a different definition of pulling hard.

Why don't you let him answer first?

Maybe he shut down at 135 when he was in front and the 911 did a fly-by?

Or maybe the 911 just started reeling him in and pulled ahead at 135.

Table the street racing for a moment..whats up with that picture?..I can see about as much detail in that pic as a blanket over my head..

OP a bit of advice..better camera/pics and when you tell the story next time..you were at the local market parking lot and someone dinged you.. all the bleeding heart liberals here will sympathize with you much more.

I'll end with a bit of plagerism by using SerhSchnell's famous:

Never know, could have been his front plate that flew off at those speeds... Damn things are a menace. Crazy story though with the OP pulling hard on the 996 that was in front of him with stuff flying off.

Well, which was it, "stuff" or "then his undercarriage flew off "? Because, if it was his entire undercarriage and you can produce a photo, I'll personally contribute to the repair costs!

For those people taking this thread seriously: please leave. Now. There is probably an active thread where someone is trying to figure out a color/wheels/mods/supercharge combination that needs your focused help.

For the rest of you, please continue. I have a gin and tonic in hand, and had a shitty day at work. I'm prepared to laugh some more at this thread.

Carry on.

Too much information regarding your question as to weather or not your hood is salvagable. You were racing your friend... that's all we needed. The rest is irrelavent. Oh wait... did you say he had exhaust too? That might change things...

Ok that's two "pulling on him's" and then magically he was in front of you where his undercarriage had a chance to exact it's revenge for pulling on him to you? His VTEC kicked in didn't it? Don't lie now.

You: "Hey buddy 'ol pal.. let's have an illegal street race!"

Buddy: "Yeah sounds good! Did I mention that I have a modded flash AND exhaust? You scared bro?"

You: "Nah... I'm going to be pulling on you anyway. What's the worst that can happen... your complete undercarriage coming off? Pffft..."

a few minutes later...

You: "Dude... I know you're my buddy and all but once your VTEC kicked in yo.. that had to be cheating and I'm going to screw you and put this illegal race misshap through your insurance. We're still buddies right?"
