Short Throw Shifter Change Out...?

I recently bought an 08 M3 6MT and installed is AC Schnitzer's short throw kit with the digital read out knob. I'm not a fan of the knob but love the short throw. Does anyone know if I can replace just the knob and boot back to OEM and keep the linkage and all installed?

Can't you just pull out the knob and whatever boot they installed with the ACS SSK? Buy the OEM knob and install. GetBMWParts.com has this part.

Post a pic, but I'm fairly sure the knob just pulls straight up. The boot just unclips around the perimeter of the trim. So you should be able to replace it without issue.
