Real Schroth harness update

So, the news is keep waiting or find an alternative. Talked to Schroth today and they are aware that everyone is chomping at the bit to get these for their dual purpose cars. They evidently have all the safety tests complete (we already knew that), they have all the components to manufacture the harness systems, so, guess what is holding up production?

It's the legal department! Since they are no longer being manufactured in Germany evidently the US Schroth and German Schroth have to work out some legal agreements regarding the licensing and registration of the belts. This is not a problem unique to BMW, it's apparently a problem for any belt system they make from this point forward. They are not willing to speculate how long this will take but it could be anywhere from one month to 10 months, they just have no idea. Sorry, but the news just never seems to get any better.

We really need an alternative. Any ideas?

Horrible!!! I guess I will have to run that one you bolt in and have to leave in. Ralley 3 or something like that?

I think the same thing. But then it reminds me of the story of my mother-in-law, who years ago drove a big Chevy station wagon. One day the radio stopped working. Her response? She traded the car in on a new Mercedes S-class.
