what do you really say to that ha ha ha oh well

My KW v3 was rusted in the first winter.
Springs were browned wherever they touched themselves.
The piston rod was pitted from rust in the area that never goes into the oil/gas seal.

They worked fine, but being 'stainless', I expected them to handle winter salt better than the usual stuff.

That sucks. Only water my car see's is from the garden hose. Garaged winters.

Funny, I was asking about the KW V3 here locally with 3 different mechanics in Hong Kong, who have installed KW V3 on their clients vehicles. They told me the same thing about not recommending KWV3, even though they can source and install them. All of them mentioned that they have seen way too many KW kits suffering from oil leaks relative to others

And even funnier, they claim the they see similar problems with quite a few of AMGs here. I had no idea if those are from KW or now.......

I mean hell, KW suspension is on the Viper ACR which just beat the Nurburgrings lap record, so there's got to be some quality in that right?

KW's not only working with production cars, but they're an OE supplier to Eibach, which ironically means that some of the springs they manufacture actually go into competitors coilover kits. Regardless, I think that statement is a bit ridiculous... Personally I wouldn't trust a guy who says that because clearly he doesn't sell KW, and possibly only sells TCK or Dinan items.
So Eibach uses KW springs in their coilovers?

Nati Beastcat, which shop are you talking about? I'm around the cinci area and want to avoid this shop lol.

Lulz.

I was so happy and satisfied with the V2s on my E46 M3 ( ~3 year/50k miles) that I didn't think twice about buying V3s for my E90 M3. Great stuff. Nuff said.

I almost feel like this person has personal beef with KW in the past, or is fanatical TCK/Dinan vendor, sort of like asking KFC/Taco Bell/Pizza Hut to carry Coke products. They can say:

"I can't sell you Coke products as we won't source it. I
don't feel it is high enough quality to be associated with. I would be
happy to sll you Pepsi products, those I can stand behind. I have seen too many customers unhappy with these lesser beverages and end up buying Pepsi products at some point in the future."

you know same shit, different products
KFC/Taco Bell/Pizza Hut doesn't carry Coke products...screw that. I'm going to Chipotle. J/K

I think the KW sleeve kit is a little scary. KW uses a VERY small bump stop that is not appreciably stiffer than the large ones the car comes with. If you lower the car a lot, it has the potential to compress your expensive EDC shocks to the point of damage.

I don't think the sleeve kit is poorly built, I just think the design leaves something to be desired. I like the Ground Control and TC Kline design, they get the required additional travel from camber plates... (although I'm not really recommending the GC camber plates due to the issues they've been having.)

The KW sleeve kit can be set VERY low, and as a shop, I'd be worried about the liability of $3000 worth of EDC shops on a $899 sleeve kit.
