Too hardcore? No, not at all. I just realized while driving this car that I'm a BMW man at heart and likely for life. I miss the refinement and soul of an ///M car. So I don't go too far backwards in terms of performance and power, I'm going to get the F10 M5 instead of another E92 M3. Top Gear was able to achieve a 0-60 of 3.7 sec for the M5, so I should be more than happy with the performance.

You'll be be justifying the FAKE V8 sound in a $100K car to people and yourself forever... no matter how the car performs...fake is fake... what a disappointment from the ///M division

i was eyeing it too....but what a turn off that fake engine noise is to me...

I hope they don't do it in the new M3/4...

Top Gear mentions the fake engine sound in the review as well. The engine sound is synthesized and played through the speakers inside.
