I may be a massive retard but I've got a question. I bought a used Dinan exhaust. Looking at it...I don't see how the rear hangers will fit onto the dinan exhaust. Am I supposed to use a bolt to bolt the hanger onto the exhaust?
The first pic is the dinan exhaust The second pic is the OEM exhaust |

Yes! You should have gotten two hangers that have to bolt on in those locations. Now that I think about it, maybe it was just a couple bolts. Hmmm. Let me see if I can find some instructions.

I can't find any instructions online or any pics I took but I am 95% sure after thinking about it that it is just a bolt. I seem to remember three nuts per bolt. One was copper or something. You have to double nut it first on the exhaust and then the final bolt keeps the rubber hanger on it. Does that make sense?

![]() Seriously...got it! EDIT...now that I look at the posts on the OEM exhaust...they are kind of phallic looking. I feel better...apparently I'm not a total idiot all of the time. |

Jesus man, we're gonna have the same damn car. I'm probably going the Dinan route later this spring once I get through my wedding.
I haven't heard one in person but i'm hoping to. Are you in Houston or Austin?

In case anyone runs into this same issue, I used a fully threaded 3/8"x3" bolt with 2 nuts and 3 fender washers. You should probably use a 2" long bolt...I had to chop off about an inch since the bolt was really close to the diff.
It sounds just like stock except a little louder. Can't tell with the window up unless you turn the radio off. There is a noticeable increase with the windows down. I dropped off my OEM exhaust at Soul Speed in Austin to do the OEM mod covering the large perforated section. I'm going to try the OEM mod and then decide. |

So any decision on the exhaust? MOD or Dinan?? I was looking at picking up a used Dinan. What do you think? I also heard that two of the 4 exhausts are fake??? Is that true??

I'm going to stick with the Dinan and not mess with the exhaust mod. I've decided I'm happy with the Dinan.
Yes, 2 pipes are fake but that's a worthwhile trade off for what you get. |

I'm going to same route Jae, if only to copy you so we have clones.
Are you running just the rear section or the Xpipe as well?
