Are Eisenmann connecting pipes needed?

Quick question for my future m3 setup really.

Picking up the eisenmann race and also a challenge sport x pipe for my exhaust setup.

I notice that both Challenge and Eisenmann (im sure others) sell connecting pipes.

If i where to pick up the above system, would there be fitment issues if i didn't get the pipes?

Just for info on the through piping incase anyones not sure. ^

Connecting pipes are so you wont need to cut the stock axle back. Most have them built with the mufflers, but some (like Eisenmann) do not.

Challenge work just as good. I spoke to Andrew from IND and he even said challenge is fine! Save the $$$$$

You will be getting the Eisenmann connecting pipes
