Its interesting to see this point of view on the Akro. What would you guys say about the full AA system in comparison?

I'm sure not everyone has had a chance to experience them, but those who have, how would you describe them in comparison to the Akro?

i also have eisenmann sport and currently looking to go cat less. Anyone recommendation? I want some thing louder but not too loud.

I had Dinan on my 335 and loved the sound. Their exhaust sounds great, although I can't get past only having 2 active tips, especially being in cold climate where it would be more noticeable. I also had a bad experience with the last round of Dinan mods... but that's another story.
I ended up pulling the trigger with Gintani. I went with the 4 resonated X-Pipe and the sport exhaust with a valve, it's suppose to remove a majority of the drone when the valve is closed.

I think you can try Fabspeed xpipe with miesterschaft GT2 exhaust , that may make you crazy of its sound ! I love loud and powerful sound !

I bought my Evol system used, but I imagine it requires some time to break-in?

My car is the perfect volume at hard acceleration and perfect at cruise. It turns plenty of heads anymore would be too much for me.

I heel-toed into a gas station yesterday and while I was filling up, three cars finished filling and rev'ed the $hit out of their cars on the way out. So the Akra must have left an impression.

Interesting point of view, I don't think the akra evo is the best sounding exhaust, but probably the best engineered exhaust.

I remember the eisenmann race I had on my old car sounded awesome but it was just too loud inside and hopeless for high speed cruising. Whereas I find the akra evo I have on my new M3 is still quite loud outside but with almost no drone inside. I find this particularly handy when driving in Malaysia where we cruise on the highway at 200km/h. I remember the eisenmann would get far too annoying sitting on anything over 130km/h - plus the amount of low end torque you lose with the eisenmann is horrible.

The extra power is noticeable with the akra too which is nice, as is the reduction in weight!

Def. Dinan full setup has amazing tone and very different from just Dinan muffler only setup. I really loved sound of my previous Dinan full setup (just didn't like the smell of it). And agree with most, Akra Evo is not much different from just slip-ons.

I have to agree that I was surprisingly disappointed when I heard an Akra system (not sure slip on or full) on an ///3 DCT. When it downshifted it sounded soul-less, and even on upshift it didn't sound great. This is no criticism because I am not sure what system the car had. This observation is purely on a drive-by experience. I don't know what it sounds like inside the car.

On the other hand, the /// Performance screems out loud and very much makes its presence felt. Bit like the E46 ... but in a very good way. Even on the freeway when you put the foot down even in high gear the car screams and you can hear it inside the cabin. Really like it. You drive through a tunnel and the sound bouncing off the walls is pure motorsport at its best. This is my 2c.

i have the akra evo and when i first got it i was also not impressed with the sound either. I was considering changing my set up, but after installing the ESS VT2 600 supercharger kit the Akra Evo has completely changed exhaust notes and doesn't have the hollow titanium sound or resonance at 3500-4500 RPM anymore. i know that my suggestion is an expensive fix but well worth it.

The exhaust tone didn't change Kristopher, it just sounds different when your cheeks are plastered back over your ears in hard acceleration.

I love my Eisenmann Sport + Fabspeed Res-xpipe + 200cell HFC. The perfect Blend.

My only issue is that i hate how the Driver's side from the HFC sits low. Specially with a drop.

I heard my friends Full Evo System. It was good, but didn't have the same sound finish as the E-Sport. But the weight savings are wonderful im sure. You can't have everything at the end of the day.
