My Frozen Grey Edition M3 Progress & Pics

I purchased a Frozen Grey Edition M3 last week online and it finally got delivered to me last night! The weather was really bad all day yesterday but I got lucky the weather cleared up at night. Here are some pics from last night and this morning. I was out driving this marvel of machinery all day and I gotta say I'm in love!! I'm still in break in period since the mileage on it is so low and I can't wait until I hit 1200 miles!!! I got bit by the mod bug before the car even got here! I already bought the FG Reflectors, Edition Front Grills & Side Gills and the complete Swissvax Opaque detail kit. I made a appointment to get the entire front end wrapped in PPF and get the windows tinted. I have my eye on some Vorsteinser goodies and a Innotech Exhaust next.

A nice new Porsche Carrera S kept my car company during the drive

Nice little goodie box from IND!

October 2011
I had some free time today so I decided to give my baby the Swissvax Opaque treatment! I love the tint! It blocks most of the radiating heat from the sun while driving and parked! The Xpel Stealth PPF is incredible! You can't tell its been wrapped unless you're really looking for it or touch it. The Tint & PPF was done at EcoTint in Vegas. Here are the new pics with the following done since the delivery pics.

- Swissvax Opaque Detailed
- Tinted w/ Llumar CTX 30 on the sides & rear windows and Llumar Air Blue 80 on the windshield
- The entire front end & misc. parts (Hood, Front Bumper/PaintedReflectors, Front Fenders, Side Mirrors, Door Cups, Door Sills, Top of the Rear Bumper by the Trunk and Headlights) wrapped w/ Xpel Stealth Matte PPF except the Headlights which were Clear PPF.
- BMW "Edition" Black Chrome Front Grills and Side Gills
- Painted Reflectors from IND

As you can see...No difference in color or look between the fender(wrapped) and door(not wrapped)

Here's a pic of the Xpel Stealth at night

"Edition" Black Chrome Exhaust Tips Gonna Be Installed Sometime This Week Along With The Stock Exhaust Mod

Updated 10-19-11

Escort 8500ci Plus

The Frozen Black's got a badge but Frozen Grey didn't I wanted a badge so I made one myself!

11-12-11: Dyno'd the car to get a baseline 336.44whp & 246.53 lbft tq I'm happy with those #'s

I take it that this was the Frozen Grey M3 from Tyler TX that was on eBay for a while.

That is a lovely looking car....
As a general question why do US regs call for those awful orange reflectors that spoil the clean lines of the front?
Here in the UK our bumpers don't need them and I hope they never do!

congratulations on a beautiful car brother.

a few suggestions if i may:

1) be wary of any wrap. that car's beauty is in it's matte finish, and a wrap could very well add gloss.

2) as an owner of vorsteiner pieces on my car as well, i have to tell you their pieces have horrible fitment

3) before you go buy any exhaust, i would highly recommend comparing each of their stats, weight reduction, hp added, exhaust note, interior drone, and of course cost. i'm obviously biased, but the full akrapovic kit, though expensive, seems to strike the best balance of these factors. (but admittedly there are other exhausts that excel in certain areas like exhaust note, cost)

4) if you're just now getting bitten by the mod bug, take some time to really dig through these forums and look at different cars and decide what pieces you like and what you don't, what vision you have for your car (track, daily driver, oem, flashy) before you decide to make any purchases. otherwise you might find yourself regretting your purchases. in fact, you may want to go to a bmw m3 car meet before you begin your purchases so you can see these things in person. (i notice that your'e in vegas, you might want to check out SEMA too)

hope this helps, and feel free to reach out to me with any questions. again congrats on your amazing car. would love to see it someday in person.

PPF is available in matte finish as well. requirement for matte paint. try Xpel. They are developing a new matte film that actually heals itself from minor abrasions and easier to clean.

beautiful car!
