I traded in my 09 m3 yesterday and I only turned in one of the keys. So now I have a brand new key. Never used. Anyway, it's for sale. Make me an offer.

Isn't that key laser cut for your car? Not the fob, I'm talking about the part you keep when u valet.

they valet part is... but if im not mistaken u can have the fob re programmed at the dealer to match your car.

i just called the dealer, the key fob brand new is $200, $40 for the "blade" what they call it, the key portion. and reprogramming if u have comfort access is one hour labor..

so all in all its a pretty damn expensive key. lol

The key fob has your car's VIN burned into the chip. The dealer can activate it, and program CA to work with this key, but this key will not work on any other car.
