I tried launch control on a metered on-ramp a few weeks ago (only went up to approx the speed limit ) and was surprised how much the rear end bucked. I'm sure the people waiting in line behind me were surprised as well

I'm assuming he bought the car used. The odometer shows 49290 miles.

Isn't launch control disabled until after the break in service anyway?

So useless to launch at such a high rpm, all it does is spin lol, you need some drag radials

Kind of. It enables itself at approx. 1250 miles regardless of when/if the break in service is done. In other words, there is nothing the dealer does to enable it, it just happens at ~1250 miles on the ododmeter.

Glad you had a friend do the videotaping from the passenger seat while you launched. Some doofus a while back launched one-handed while taping with the other hand and posted it on here. Managed not to hit anything or anyone, but it was nerve wracking to watch the shaky video.
