Sorry for poorly describing, but I was talking about the flat surfaces that looked like they have been raked/brushed to create the grooves. I was wondering if that maintains it's "brushed" finish with extended use.

Actually, you never touch the front (driver-facing) side of the paddles. Your fingers only touch the backside to pull them towards you and engage the shift. So it's really not an issue

I was stumped about this for a bit as well when I did my install.

I was able to find the holes by feeling around the area.... small soft spots in the back of the steering wheel. Press a little and can see the slit to insert screw driver.

Just close your eyes and believe me its behind there.

I had trouble disconnecting the wires so I left them attached. Makes for a tight work place but was able to complete the install.

This was the hardest part for the install for me. I tried and tried and could not get the clips undone. Then I put on a rubber glove (the yellow kind used to wash dishes), took hold of the clip, and wiggled slightly as I pulled with some force. The glove gave me the necessary grip to undo the plugs.

By the way, these paddles are great!

His email is darwin@sonicms.net, v2.0 would offer a revised design...but no added functionality.

To be honest at this juncture I don't believe we'll release a v2.0 design.

I installed these, and all I can say is perfect!

No need for version 2.0 of these extended paddles. The Gunmetal is perfect, the paddles don't stick out as do the oem silver. I was hesitant at first given the cutouts on the paddles, but they feel lighter and more easily engaged.

I recommend these 100%!!

Word of advice, don't forget to plug in the airbag cable before re-connecting your battery - now I need to have the airbag warning code cleared. My fault.
