Within our new Challenge shipment, we were happy to be among the the first to receive the new Race+ X Pipes.

Featuring a full T304 stainless construction and omitting both primary/secondary catalysts and resonators, this is a system not for the faint of heart.

In the meantime, here's some quick down and dirty clips of the VF620 Supercharger and Challenge Race+ X-Pipe/Akrapovic exhaust combo for your viewing pleasure.

I guess I'm in the minority here, but that sounds fairly plain. I like the akra systems, but mainly for their quality, fit/finish and look; not for their sound.

I totally agree with you, the reason why everyone is liking the sound cause it was not expected. usually deleting all the cats and resonator makes the car sound so insanely loud even with OEM axle back. with the AKRA setup it doesnt sound crazy or annoying loud and you still get the full potential of the exhaust, IE gain.

i know some people trashed the idea of going full catback cause of the noise. its just not drivable.

I think with the AKRA set up... i think this is the best exhaust combination.

Tom,

Why does the other challenge X pipe cause NO CEL? i know the other model has high flow cats but doesnt the Akra evo also have hFC? but the evo throws a cel. so why is it that the challenge one doesnt throw a cel but akra evo does? i thought all xpipes that are non oem cause CEL...forgive my ignorance..trying to figure this out to make a decision....im just worried about getting the CEL deleter and then not knowing if its deleting other important warnings non related to emissions...and then ill be driving around not knowing if something is wrong

Also, whats the difference in sound between the other challenge pipe vs this one here?

However I can't imagine it making more power than full Akra. Nice thing about full Akra is you have all weight savings, plus the 100 cell cats will eliminate smell, and if anything they add a slight bit of back pressure which can only help out the torque dip in the low RPM range associated with Akra.
