Funny. No, the S4 is my daily driver. The wife drives the A4.

As owner of both cars and having tracked my S4 this past summer I would 100% recommend you take the M3.

The reason I say the M3 is because it's harder to drive fast out of the curves. You need to watch your throttle whereas the S4 is way too easy.

In my opinion I think if you get used to the S4 which you can floor through curves easily with DSC off and no fears you will find the M3 scary.

Both cars are fast in the track but one is easy to go fast and can take more mistakes whereas the M3 can't and if you floor it as you would the S4 you can lose your rear end.

Gain experience in the M3 then bring the S4 and you will enjoy it in a different way.

My best laptime (at a local track) in my modded M3 is 2:00 and with my completely stock S4 it was 2:05. The S4 is REALLY easy to drive fast. In my intermediate group I was not passed by any M3's driving my S4 whereas I passed about 4 or 5 E9X M3's.

I should actually be going faster in the M but at the same time I'm not trying to race and just enjoy tracking at my pace.

I'm sure with better rubber and brakes I can knock off at least 3 to 4 seconds off the S4 time easily. Its that easy to drive fast it's actually quite funny for a 3925 pound car.
