perhaps you "babied" the car too much during the break-in period?

Anyhow, I'm very happy with the performance gains from the pulley and intake.

I was talking to one of the techs at EAS, and he says all the highest stock dyno'd M3s that were done at their shops came from '11 and '12s.

I hate you

And this is the exact reason why I'm sad. I would need exhaust+pulley+intake just to make roughly the same hp you make stock!! FML

EAS has my dyno charts, maybe someone @ EAS can post it up? Thanks.
I would definitely recommend the MS stage 2 intake. At first I was a little concerned after reading a few members intake elbow links broke off, but guys at EAS showed me their new kits have different rubber pieces where it connects. So the new ones clamp on better.

Thanks for the info. I heard the first version of the MS intake had to be held with duct tape (in some cases) so it's good to read that the newer version is holding up. btw, looking forward to seeing the dyno sheets before I pull the trigger.

What was the cost to install pulley?

Did 4-5 more pulls after that and the highest I got was 349hp.

70 degrees today, 91 oct. '08 DCT.

I can definitely feel more power. But there was a guy with red m3 there that put down 360hp stock! Makes me a little sad that I got one of the "weak" m3s.

I feel like I am now modding to just to chase other stock M3s...FML

I dyno'd 347whp with Akra Evo, MS filter, AA pulley but I trapped 116mph at the 1/4 mile track. Point being, dynos are useless. Sorry.

That may be the case, just putting info out there for people to use for whatever reasons they might have. Don't really care either way. Congrats though. Some nice mods you have. Akra EVO

Send a message via AIM to tma1c
From what I understand is its all about the gains. Every dyno reads differently.

400 rwhp here on a dynojet with a totally stock engine.

Did I mention I used old worn tyres with high tyres pressures and the correction factor was STD 1.10

Gentlemen.... Without correction factors it's useless to even compare.

I have studied loads of drf files and most of you aren't even testing in the same gear!

It's all pointless.

Its not your engines that are inconsistent but your dyno testing methods.

Or maybe the uk just got the most consistently performing engines? Because all stock cars using 99 octane (USA 94) make power which is so close to each other that the difference is not even worth mentioning.

What if one car is running 22 degrees ignition whereas another is running 28?

What if one car has inlet temps 30 degrees higher than another?

You are all looking at just one thing ....

To get a true picture of what's happening you must log the variables!

No,
Watch everyone ignore logic and carry on suggesting their engines are so very different from each other.

Yes, sure there will be a few cases here and there where an engine has bad spark plugs or low fuel pressure or even poor compression but the extent to which the hp figures very so much is incredible.

We have stock cars making almost 40 hp apart from each other and hardly anyone has the common sense to even check the very basics.

This is the level.....

Looks like we are in for a bit of educating from the scientific and logically minded ones.
