New Dinan Order for my 11 392 M3 ZCP,DCT
I finally decided to do some mods on my M3. I choose to go with a company that has been doing performance parts on BMW's for a long time. Dinan. Following are the mods I am doing:
Free Flow Exhaust (E92/3) M3 Coupe High Flow Carbon Fiber Intake Performance Engine Software Underdrive Pulley Kit (6/08-2011 Only) Front Carbon Fiber Strut Tower Braces According to the numbers I should be at 448hp and 320lb ft tq after installation. I am hoping to have it all installed this Friday at BMW of Santa Maria. Thanks to BMW of Santa Maria and Dinan for all of their help. Best part is that I will be able to pass smog without any modifications. ![]() Yes, I will post pictures and a detailed review. |

You really need to get the Dinan racing mid-pipe to get the power gain. ///M Ryder has all the Dinan power mods you're about to have + the Dinan racing mid-pipe, and his car put down 351 whp (SAE corrected). I have all the Dinan power mods ///M Ryder has, except just a MS Air Filter (no Dinan intake) and my car put down 354 whp (SAE corrected) using the same dyno. The most power gain is really going to come from Dinan's cat-less mid-pipe.
Congrats though! We look forward to seeing your car. Hopefully you can get your car dyno on a DynoJet to compare with ///M Ryder and myself. |

Im not sure if i would go with Dinan... I have seen a lot of power loss... on a dynojet i did 356 Whp with Rpi GTM axleback, BMC filter and scoops... My friend with a Dinan intake, throttle boddies, tune and full exhaust and a pulley, barely made 348whp.. that was his highest run... Not trying to hate to much, but he went ahead and bought a Macht Schnell intake on the spot and gained a few more ponies.

Was this car dyno'd before the parts put on? |

That is odd. I looked up the MS intake and it only increases air volume by 18% where the dinan intake is 30% increase. I don't understand how there could be power loss unless it was not installed correctly but I guess the real key is whether the car was dyno'd at stock. I do know that not all the cars from stock appear to have exactly the same hp, some sort of variance I presume. |
