It's almost pointless to buy a used one. For example 535vt1 kit . You buy it for 6k plus 1k for tune. That's if he's doing local. 1k for install. 8k total. For about one more thousand you can have a new one and keep your warranty. Not only that it's NEW!

That looks like what I will be doing. ESS does not loose its value like AA or G-power, so financially I can manage that. I have been looking for used because there is no way I can stomache paying $16-17k for an AA kit or $20k for a G-power and only get $10k or less out of them when I decide to sell the car.

Yes buying a used 535 kit is useless...

but if you want more power, you'll need a higher ESS kit, or Gintani/GPower/AA/CF, which subsequently cost quite a bit more

That is the biggest question right now. 535 is nice, but if I get custom paint I don't want to loose it if I decide to upgrade later.

You keep your manifold when you upgrade so don't worry, and the blower, there the same for all the kits. Just different internals

Incorrect, manifold
is different for 535 vs all other kits due to the cooling
