Want to upgrade stereo uk

Guy's,
I have standard audio and the sound is terrible! The lads I have used for years aren't very interested in mucking about with the car as they are a bit out of touch with what's available for my car with the decline in audio upgrades recently due to standard stereos being so difficult to work on! I'm not wanting big subs or anything like that just a better sound! Can anyone who has upgraded let me know what they have done? FYI my car is 09 e92

Cheers

Would have thought simplest upgrade is the retrofit Alpine kit that BMW do - gives you an amp, tweeters & replacement speakers for the front, same as the logic 7 upgrade. I assume you don't have the door pillar tweeters? This isn't too difficult to fit, as comes with all the harnesses etc to plug directly into your head unit, and won't require a recode. You could replace all the door speakers with BSW, but you would still need the amp to get any significant change out of the sound.

Anneka from Sytner was promoting a group buy of these some time back - worth asking her..

Same boat here - interested in what people have done.

had the BMW alpine in a prior car, and I did like it a lot, just interested in what other options there are.

Cheers!

I have logic 7 in mine and it sounds great. So if the alpine kit is the equivalent then you won't be disappointed.

Sytner were offering deals a while ago, might be worth contacting Anneka.

True but doesn't necessarily mean it's more money than getting locally. Just options you can pursue.

very true , but with vat 20% and import tax + a weak /$ exchange ,its highly unlikely to be cheaper

Thanks, also have had bad experience with them. I have been using Fairbairns which despite being owned by Arnold Clark have been ok. Please let me know how the upgrade sounds.

Thanks

Excellent, thanks for letting me know! Cancelled mine until next week but I will go ahead and get it done now! Is the whole package better with regards bass and sound or just louder ?

I'm nowhere near being an expert, but i'd say all round better - bass feels much stronger, and you have the highs now due to the tweeters
