Calipers:
Advantage Extreme calipers are gravity die cast monobloc constructions using aluminum alloy for optimum strength and weight.
Steel pistons with nickel plated finish for durability to achieve a corrosion resistant surface.
To protect against the elements nitrile rubber wiper seals are installed in the caliper bores out board of the EPDM pressure seals. The design is more effective in high performance applications than external boots that can get damaged being in contact with a hot brake pad.
Piston bore sizes are staggered to ensure even pad wear

Thanks! If the caliper not mounted on the car is not part of the e9x M3 BBK then those pics should be removed because all they do is add confusion.

I'm definitely interested. I was looking for a lower-cost, lighter-weight alternative (besides StopTech) to the other BBKs out there. What's the rotor size on the Advantage Extreme kit? Any idea if it'll fit Apex ARC-8 18x10 wheels?

I have the Alcon Mono4 kit on my A4 and it's been great. Withstood 10 track days, and 3 New England winters and counting. I bought that one from Stasis. Vastly better brake feel than my M3's stock brakes.

I hope we can use the Advantage Extreme kit on the E9x. 384mm rotors are overkill. I think the 365mm rotor + good pads (I'll probably use Carbotech) and brake ducts should offer plenty of stopping power and rotor/pad life.

Those 6-piston calipers sure are sexy,though.

I definitely need to upgrade my brakes. I tried installing track pads in the OEM calipers. I have no interest in ever doing that again. Even when you know what you're doing, it takes at least 2x as long as a pad swap with the Alcon Mono4 calipers on my A4. Also, positioning the caliper pins on the OEM calipers is annoying as hell.

Also, on my A4, I got Alcon rotors for the rear. They're solid (no veins) one-piece rotors, but they have the "C" indentations in the surface. Do you know if anything like that is available for the E92 M3?

This is the Front 6 piston Caliper.

The kit posted above is the Alcon Superkit Big Brake Kit 6 Piston Front & 4 Piston Rear. We can get get the 4 piston front if that is what your looking for.

What is pictured is the 4 piston caliper..
