I like 1013mm's and Scott Chu's photos and I think they are Socal photogs. No idea how much it would be though.

If you're ever in Norcal I'd be happy to snap a few shots for you. I'm not a pro and it's just for fun so there's no fee involved..unless you'd like to buy me lunch? Haha

Depends on what you want to do...

Me and my buddies have done several so depending on what you want it could be free, just buy us lunch, or we could talk about something more serious. Checkout our past work here at Studio 6 Speed

Well it depends on what do you want to do. For example, the last shoot we organized we had:

-Lunch provided at a host location
-3 Shoot locations at a BMW Dealership
-6 models
-Rolling Shots
-24 Cars

But that was us "going big." If you want to do a simple shoot here's what you should consider:

1. Shoot location

-What type of shots do a want? Do you want a nice scenic overlook or maybe something industrial like a parking structure? This will help with setting up individual car shots as well as group shots. Do you also want to do some rolling or action shots? Location also feeds directly into consideration #2...

2. How many cars will you have?

-This is a good question to ask because you don't want to have 20 cars when your ideal shoot location can only fit 6. It's good to plan to find a location that can accommodate all the cars you'll have (even if they all don't need to be shot at once, you'll still have to put them somewhere while you take pics of whatever car(s) you're shooting). This will also help you figure out individual and mutli-car shots.

3. What's your budget?

-This will help you pic a location as well as determine what type of shoot you do. There are plenty of great spots you can use for free, but maybe you want to have some models at the shoot or you want to use a specific place like private beach or something? You can usually find someone to model for free (or on a budget) if you want to use models, or perhaps you want to rent some nice camera equipment to help make those shots a little "extra" perfect.

These are just some thing to consider. Like I said, if you need any help or advice feel free to ask me, I've done this before quite a few times so I'm a little experienced at it I'll show you some examples of some shoots I've been a part of and I will break down between free & paid

Free:

Involved a budget (either by me or someone):

So as you can see, there's a lot you can do for free or with a budget! It all just depends on what you want to do!

Count me in if you are planning on bringing the models along, especially the blonde in front of the car in the first photo.

What sort of budget range are you talking about?

No models needed. I just want the car and an excellent spot or two. Rig shots would be nice but not a necessity.

For models usually what we've done around $150 - $200 for a few hours, and so depending on how many cars we have we divy up the cost accordingly. Like for one shoot we used 3 models and had 20 cars, so we charged $25 a person. Though I also was able to hook it up with a free lunch at host venue, and everyone had a great day.

That's super easy to do. Especially in the OC, since there's a bunch of great overlooks. Maybe yo want a shot like this (taken overlooking the Newport Bay):
