First time M3 owner - Introduction

Hey everybody!

Just bought my Alpine White 2009 E92 M3 DCT about 2 weeks ago. Premium, Technology, and Cold Weather packages; 19" OEM wheels (220M) powder coated matte black. 16,9xx on the odometer at the time of purchase. I'll post some (non-phone) pictures when I get a chance to take them.

I'll see you guys on the road and hopefully at a meetup sometime!

Great! Are you off Linton Hall?
I think there is another member that lives somewhere the Linton Hall area. I’ve seen a black E92 and IB E90 (similar to my car) in the area.

did you get it from MB of Tyson's Corner. I saw the car, it's nice.
If i had not gotten my car, i was going to get that one. I remember due to the powder coating of the wheels and the color combo. Beautiful ride.

Yup, I'm less than a mile from Linton Hall. I'll have to keep my eye out for you and the others.

Thanks, Raja. Yes, I got it from MB of Tyson's. I test drove it there in November and then watched it on their website for a month. They knocked $4,000 off the asking price right after Christmas. At which point I went in, got what I wanted on a trade in, and that was that.

I put the front plate on it (via tow hook) last night. The car is eye-catching enough as it is, so it gets looks from cops (you guys know how that goes) and I don't want to give them an easy reason to stop me. Especially considering that my round-trip commute includes 21 miles on I-66 where I invariably pass at least one officer per trip, and I'm usually crawling past them.

It looked a lot better with no front plate, but I'm weighing my options to make it look better. I'll start a new thread at some point to solicit opinions (with more pictures) on what you guys think would look good.
