Very nice!! Nothing can ever beat the classic look of TE37s despite how many people run them these days.

Same here! I'm currently debating between these and the upcoming Motion Control Suspension 1Way dampers.

Stalker-

I'm also very interested to hear what you think about the RS1's. VAC seems to be the only one listing them on their website. I don't have enough posts to send a PM, but when I do you will get one with a few questions.

I'd probably lean towards the Ohlins R&T because I have prior experience and they seem to be very similar to these RS1s in that they have a wide range of adjustment and are smooth enough for DD while performing very well at the track.

GC street plates. Didn't want the NVH associated with race plates.

Keep us posted on when you pick them up. I can't wait to hear your impressions especially since you have experience with other suspension setups on the E90!

I have not had much time to use the car these past few days, but I got about 150KM on them today.

A little back ground, I have had Dinan springs, KW CS, and Moton SS on this car. I daily drive it, and its my track monster, which sees about 8-12 events a year typically. The roads in Toronto are horrid, especially in the downtown core where I live.

The RS1s so far have been fantastic and the best suspension I have had on the car. They do a great job at soaking up the big and small bumps on the road while not feeling harsh at all. Im running 500/800 combo, I would def not go stiffer if you drive on bad streets though, I think its the limit unless you have high tolerance. I had initially set the front and rear at 3/3 clicks from full soft and stiffened it up a little and the ride got even better, hitting the sweet zone I guess. The car turns in and stay flat beautifully through a corner, really makes it effortless almost. Its hard to describe, but it almost makes the car feel lighter then it is, especially through fast speed corners.

I do have some noise from one front shock, but I knew that was a possibility and James@Bimmerworld told me beforehand about it and they will be replaced/fixed, so not worried about it.

My first track day on them will be April 1st. Im running -2.5 camber up front, -1.9 out back. 0 toe up front and 1/16th in the rear. Dropped about 1" all the way around.

So far very happy with the set up, but need some more time on it.

Big thanks to the guys at Bimmerworld. Excellent service and support.

Awesome! I'm glad to hear you're happy with the 500/800 spring rates. Sorry to hear about the noise but it sounds like it will be addressed/resolved quickly.

How is the range of adjustment? Can you "feel" each click?

I'm looking forward to reading your review after the first track event.

I believe there are 22 clicks/settings in total for both the front and the rear. You can feel the difference from 2-3 clicks. Other nice point, when you adjust them, you can actually feel the click through the knob. My KW CS kit was a big vague in the department at times.

As for the noise, its only noticeable in the city and over rougher stuff. Not annoying me yet, but will be happy to have it fixed.

That's great you can feel almost every click - sign of a high-end damper! I've had dampers where it's been difficult to hear/feel each "detent" which makes adjusting them a bit challenging especially when at a noisy track.

Any chance the noise is coming from the mono-balls in the adjustable sway bar end links?

I thought about that as well, but I doubt it. The noise is similar to what others have described coming from other RS1 owners. I'll have my shop take a look at everything again in a few days, have to go back to get my tires/wheels balanced.

Also, Im using GC street plates to help keep the NVH at a minimum.

I have only ran them with my 18" Volks on RS-3s. The ride should in improve when I switch over to my 19" RACs with PSS tires. So that will be a plus for everyday comfort.

April 1st event is a technical track, not much high speed stuff, so it will be good to see how the car handles tighter sections where handling is at a premium, not horsepower.
I'll be at Mosport hopefully soon after, which is a very fast track. After both tracks will have a better indication of just how good the RS1s are hopefully.

Thanks for the update! Looking forward to your thoughts after the track. I thought about going the CS route to save money but now you have me thinking otherwise. Have fun at the track.

There is not a huge difference in price between the two kits, anywhere from $400-$800 depending on how you spec the RS1s and associated gear.
