I hope that today will be "the day" and that you will get your car back - properly repaired and to your liking. Look forward to hearing the results.

Hope the same here that you get your car back ... when you do take some photos of the car or of that disappointing dealership ...

Tell the SA if he does not do a good job you will tell your story to the fellows at bimerpost.com with all details and photos ... that should keep him from taking too many coffee breaks and make sure you get your car back in tip top shape ... put your foot down you paid good money for that car!

The Z4M was just too small and the seats too thin...On the bright side I just racked up 650 miles on their loaner.

Yeah I hear you. Thats why I switched out too. I could have kept it but now like the comfort of the M3. Although the M3 will never look as aggressive or good as an aggressive Z4MC, it still is faster though. lol

Latest update...

Service Guy calls yesterday at 3:00 p.m. and says that the new controller is installed and they will road test and get ready for pickup on Thursday morning. Get my hopes up when I get a call at 5:00 saying they still have a transmission fault and will work on that today. I call the service manager (who was my adviser years ago at Audi) to get him involved and he says that this is common due to the complexity of the M3 and that he will talk to the shop foreman to see what is going on with my car.

Two weeks and counting, will she make it home this year?

Hopefully an end to the saga. Car was delivered washed, waxed and ready at 5:00 p.m. Thursday. Printout details various tests done with ultimate determination to replace edc module. Car drives fine, shift better (dct software recall) and seems okay with no codes. Dealer was extremely apologetic and I am hopeful this is the end of the promblems so I can start to enjoy the car.
