Crazy Mirror Problem!

I'm having a problem with my near side mirror.

When reversing I like it to rotate down so I can see the ground. The problem is that when I put the car back into 1st gear its not going back up to the correct position.

I've tried re-saving the mirror settings with the memory buttons on the seat but it's still doing the same thing.

Has any one had this problem before or knows a solution to this?

Thanks

So it will go to the rear looking position but not come back to the normal position once out of reverse?

near side, as in driver side?** I swear my driver side would adjust in reverse as well...(until it stopped/never occured) but as for now it's just the passenger side.

**UK's left is our right!!

It goes down to the rear looking position but doesn't go back up properly to it's normal position - it goes up but to a different position. So it's as if there is another position is saved that I can't get rid of..if that makes sense!

Yes, UK's left is your right (I mean passenger side)! I would assume the mirror should adjust the same, but just opposite sides of the car for the US.
