No- I'm sure it happens a lot where "friends" become more- it just isn't a requirement.

I married my female just-a-friend. But we'd known each other for years and were basically best friends by that point and decided to take it further. I've had plenty of other female friends before and since then where I wasn't interested in being anything more. My female friends are typically fellow engineering type nerds, usually a coworker, who I can geek out with.

Kind of sad when I think about it, but it is quite true. Especially when you want to be close friends. The girl and the guy gotta find each other attractive in some aspect.

It's definitely skewed.

You tell/show a girl (who's clearly interested in you) that you're not interested and she won't be hanging around, sometimes gives you shit for it. Guys otoh are willing to invest for a chance at hooking up and this just spoils girls into constantly being in one-sided friendships with most guy friends and expecting that sort of attention.

Only girls I've been able to keep a friendship with are gfs/exs of friends. I've never been good at 'investing', makes the future relationship too complicated.

yes its possible with the situation Sara in. It is possible because those guys will stick around for a very long time/forever, they don't know how to hook up with other girls and friends zone is better than nothing. By the time they learned how to pick up a girl, they'll probably be deep into the friend zone anyways. Speaking from experience from the single guy friends I have who is stuck in this stage... they're too chicken to make a move.

See Ive been great friends with the person for over a year now. He talks about his girl issues with me/ I talk about my guy issues with him so we know that we arent into each like the way we are with other people. But we have so much in common that we're always together just not in "that" type of way.

Yes thats what I was talking about, he is probably still attracted to you but don't care since there are other girls he is hitting on so friends zone is fine. Other men on this thread are saying if he gets a opportunity to hookup with you, he will which is probably true. But you won't let this happen since he is in your friends zone which is also true.

What will you do/do you think will happen if, one day he gets sick and tired of the drama he is having with other girls and tries to hook up with you... I'm just curious, since I know a lot of man right now wants to do this but scared to... including many of my guy friends lol
