Great system system huh? Sad thing is our taxes pay the salaries of these police officers. They should serve and protect, not harass car enthusiasts.
That sucks man .. This system has many flaws but police think that because they have a badge they are superior an our voices never get heard we just get drowned an bashed with tickets an accusations based on an officers belief ... They are no specialist in any area of expertise except for security... I wish an mto officer came to the scene they would've made the right decision ... Pm I can help you get through all this

Man, i'm totally shocked, sorry to hear what you've gone through. Normally, i'm the first to defend police when they pull cars off the street for street racing etc., but this is a whole new level. I can't believe they can just look at your car without any mechanical expertise and have your car pulled. The worst part is how much time you're going to have to spend getting your plates etc., back on this BS charge. Good luck in getting this sorted out.

WTF sorry to hear this bro. Cops are big dicks, I think we get it pretty easy here in Calgary but that doesn't mean they still aren't dicks. I know for a fact someone is gonna come in to this thread and be like 'cops aren't dicks they're just doing their job' well their job isn't to harass car enthusiasts it's to go and catch REAL fucking criminals.

Did you get your car back? Also, can't believe no-one has said this yet.. You're rolling on ADV's for winter?! What tires you got lol??

Fight every single ticket! one court date which will save you time. Was this OPP?

Your emission test on the day off and after will be proof that your car's exhaust system is fine and not illegal.

Set up a date to talk to the prosecutor they will drop Charges as they have no proof for non of their charges.

I fought an insurance ticket i got , do to me be not having a pink slip as i had recently changed insruance slips and prosecutor did not fight it and judge threw the ticket out.

I know it's a pita but i would fight! Let us know how you make out. I'm also curious what exact laws he charged you with.

That's just craziness. You sure you didn't gun it after you passed the cop and he heard you? I know nothing about Canadian officers and their authority but I would find it hard to believe that he would do all that unless he heard you going by at a minimum.

Unfortunately a brown guy in an M3 or equivalent does seem to attract undue attention. I got pulled over by an irate cop about my speed when I was following traffic with cars in front and behind me.

Definitely fight the ticket and if you need a lawyer feel free to ping me , I know a very good one.

Be sure to contact a lawyer that specializes in traffic offences.
I've got a good one in Oakville if you need one.

Fight every single charge, you will get off easily.
The cop is not a licensed technician so there is no validity to his claims.
Also request to be paid for your time and fines paid.

Cops in the GTA are worse then the criminals.
They have a strong union and the people have nothing to protect themselves.
Just view the G20 as an example.

Sorry to hear about this dude. Keep us posted if you were able to fight this. I may be naive but never thought that a cop can or will actually go this far. Either the crime rate is super low in the york region or there are too many cops who have to do something like this to justify their jobs.

"there are too many cops who have to do something like this to justify their jobs." Plus they have a certain above-the-law attitude.
You got it airwave808
And each year they convince the public we should hire more.
Just look at the revenue generation their hard work is bringing the community
