Why don't we have split-centre armrests?
Is it just me or north of the border do we not have this option from factory? Am I missing something, was looking at every for sale thread that included interior pics and they ALL have it..
Do you guys have it, did I not get a certain package with my car? Hmm, 2011 E92 if that helps, not sure if it's a 2011.5 or .75 but yea.. Pic included to show you what I mean! EDIT - Think I'm gonna have to order a MY2012 just so I can get extended fox red, but then again speed cloth is sweet too |

It's my understanding that it's now standard in the US spec M3. I am quite surprised it's on mine especially when my 2008 328i coupe did not have it. Nor was it an option.

Yeah I really like it even though I don't use it much. I was so pleasantly shocked my car had it that I thought it was a factory error.

Not available in Canada... US only option.
apecush... importing a car from the US to get the split armrest but losing the 4 year maintenance plan and diminished resale value that US cars have in Canada doesn't seem like a win/win scenario.

It was for me. a whole 9 remaining months of service and diminshed value were trumped by 10k+ in savings, a low mile car that hadn't seen a day of snow, and no plans to sell the car for 4+ years...
In all seriousness though, the sliding armrest isn't the greatest design if you use the e-brake as they interfere. |

I have it in my US import and it's okay. It's good for longer drives on freeway. City driving or otherwise it's not a big deal. I didn't realize it's a US specific feature until now. Bonus!

Guess it's another feature that Canadian spec cars don't have ... just like the Fox Red/Black/Black interior combo ... |
