while that's certainly the case, the system is heavily in favor of the woman. given there were cameras, he might have got away with giving her a couple irish kisses without getting a charge, but i sure as hell wouldn't risk it. had there been no cameras around, if he touched her at all, he would have surely gone to jail with her.

I understand not hitting her but you'd at least have the right to restrain her until you can walk away. I dont care one bit about there being cameras present. If the only thing I'm doing is protecting myself from further harm then I'd have nothing to worry about.
