HPDE weekend in the rain. Put on my new front ps2's?
Well, im doing 1 more track weekend in my m3. My new porsche is not quite ready for prime time (parts took too long to come in).
This weekend is supposed to be pretty wet. my front tires are near the wear bars. I have a set of 85% traction front ps2's I was going to put on after this weekend, but now I'm thinking the better traction in the rain might be a good reason to put them on today. Thoughts? |

I would definitely install the PS2s with the greater tread depth. You do not want to hit standing water on the track with street tires warn down to, or past, the wear bars. Better to play it safe.

Are you running at Motorsport Ranch in Cresson?
I'm especially looking forward to 40 degrees and raining on Sunday...YES!

Turn 1 CW may be a bit exciting in the wet with used up tires. I also vote to use the new PS2's at least for this event.
