First, how old is the guy? While older or with family less probability to pass over 130 mph.

Second, is he a car racer? I mean if he has some background about profesional racing. If yes do not race.

Third, Find out which car he had previous to the SRT8. If he had a minivan or a SUV the guy is talking shit about the race. He is just curious about his car limit. Probaly he will quit once he get 130 mph or before.

Fourth, delay the race and install procede. Then be sure you are going to beat him.

Fifth, no matter who is faster. If you do not want to race, do not race (the most intelligent alternative).
I wanna know who won too...

I have seen video of a 335i taking the Jeep SRT-8 which has AWD and more traction than the dodge. You can take him.

Where are you, slick101?

Did you "smoke" that Charger SRT8 after the first bend?

Thanks, slgator! Congratulations on your victory!:rocks:

However, I am interested in seeing some consistencies in performance.

Where are you, slick101?

As a former owner of the E36 M3, this would be very surprising but I am glad that the world is in fine order after reading your post.
I have to say it is surprising to me that I'm out accelerating E46s on the backstraight at the Glen. When I go back this fall I'll have video to prove it. Right now the in-car video I have is me passing a Ferrari 348 2 times (almost 3 times) at Summit Point during a 21 minute lapping session.

For 40k (the price of a nicely equipped 325i/328i) you get the charger loaded. Maybe the 1/4 mile times are off because of traction issues or poor weight distribution throughout the car. I bet if the race was from 80+ it would probably own a stock 335i.
then crash at the first curve.

Driver..... The E36 M3 is still no slouch but if you are a better driver and get a good exit before a straight, your observations wouldn't surprise me.

we want more info!! :P

anyways, when I was purchasing my 335, I had other options in mind, and the SRT8 did cross my mind...
I drove it though and said "I need handling... sorry"
however, power was very good...

and I'm not a fan of people who think they are the shit cuz they have a bimmer...
remember, there are more expensive cars out there :P

on another note... glad you won
