That is exactly what I am going to do. The good thing is my dealer sent me the same doc as provided above when I ordered my car. My CA is off today, but did shoot me an email stating he will look into it first thing tomorrow morning. I will keep you guys posted. Thanks for all the great advice.

Very unusual. I guess it happens ONCE in a while, but this is the first I've heard of it...sorry to hear you're going through some hassles.

Wow that is incredible. I am sure they can add blue tooth and USB/IPOD for you at their expense so you should be covered and not too huge a deal but still a big pain that you even have to waste time thinking about this. Well good news is you will enjoy the engine sounds for the next few months and not even think about playing your ipod so you should be ok

Nope, haven't gotten mine. When you said you had yours already I was wondering whether I could have had mine sooner. I haven't heard from my CA that it is ready though even though the BMW site shows it at the dealer.

It says "Mazda" on the engine cover. That means its a V8, right? ;-)

Anyway, contacted my CA today. He was first claiming the order guide was wrong and you will only get bluetooth and ipod/usb if you get nav. I told him that was BS I was going to get a second opinion at BMW USA. Now he just sent an email to the local bmw rep to find out who is right. So we'll see.

Bummer. It's certainly not your fault. It's either the dealer or BMW.

Did the dealer give you a printout of your Production Order via Dealer Speed for you to review/sign?

It would have the option codes and then you could pinpoint whether it was a dealer order omission or a factory production omission.

Quick update: Dealership has confirmed (for now) that the mentioned features are indeed standard. They are still waiting on a response from BMW NA...

Ok, just got a call from my CA. Apparently, there has been a whole batch of 2012 M3 coupes and convertibles that have been manufactured without bmw assist/bluetooth/ipod integration. They gave me the choice of either returning the car or take a $1050 check. Obviously I took the check as I don't want to wait another 3 months. It sucks, but I can live without these gadgets.

Why don't you have them install these options at free of charge.

Wow what a colossal blunder. I find it disconcerting that your CA assumed that you were wrong or mistaken off the bat. Glad that you found resolution that you can live with.

Man...I'm so conflicted on this. These cars were totally NOT set up right...it's a shame. At the same time, what is the world coming to if a car without bluetooth and iPod connectivity are unacceptable. On the other hand, the car is expensive and you waited a while. It sucks all around, who cares about the measly check.

I wouldn't even deal with the guy who told you were wrong over at BMW Mtn View. I just wouldn't trust his word anymore. Maybe you can send an email to BMW USA to figure out what really happened, you know?

In either case, enjoy the car man. I love every minute, and honestly I barely listen to music...the engine is music (perfect shifts are music) AND I when I'm having a fun time driving, taking a call on craptooth totally disrupts the whole experience. You can put that check to good use on some accessories.
