If only they put the S85 in the M3 for the ZCP... I'd have been willing to pay 90k for that car.

How can you put the s65 first and not include the s85 in the top 3? If you like the S65 than the S85 offers everything and more with two cylinders and semi-dry sump oil system.

I would have paid 120k for an m3 with a V10 s85. Stupid I know but what a car that would have been! The v8 is just a TAD underpowered I hate to say, but nonetheless a wicked engine!

HARD decision....fudge...

V10 would be the ....first and second
S54 would be JUST BARELY the second...and first
S65 is the solid third because it doesnt strike me like the v10 and the s54 is the power plant thats liked a lot.

The v8 in the GTR gets me... v8 gtr m3 e46 m3 GTR

I am with ya! I personally think the new M engine, as long as it is unique to the M3 and not a tuned engine from the rest of the cars, will be one of the best ever and first of its kind for bmw. I personally believe they will push the envelope and get the revs up to 7400-7500, 2 turbos and V6 configuration. The m5 already is at 7200 rpms and I feel they realize the importance of the m3 engine to be a bit of a screamer and this would keep all of us happy, atleast me. I love 8400 but 7500 would be absoultely brilliant if it offered all the low end turbo power as well!

I agree with all your responses.. But my opinion doesn't really matter because the only m3 I have had is my current e92 m3 and It's the best engine I have ever had.
