World Record for Trap Speeds on Street Tires

An ESS 535 (DCT) supercharged E92 M3 [mine], an ESS 625 (6spd) E92 M3, and an AA Stage 2 (DCT) E90 M3 shattered some numbers today! What a great day we had at Atco Raceway!

Temps were cool (45deg) which was great for power but made it difficult to get traction especially for M33 and Akh23456 since they are making more power than my little old ESS 535 kit

I recently installed an ESS 535kit combined with a Ginanti Catless Xpipe and Borla rear section(DCT). Since I dont have DR's yet, I took off my 20's and ran oem 19's with PS2's.

Thanks to IMG for his tire pressure expertise! M33 is running the "monster" ESS 625 and is catless (6spd). Akh23456 is running an AA Stage 2+ Meth and is catless(DCT). If we all learned something from today....we need drag radials! My car was really dialed in today. Prior to today I made about 12 passes with the blower but was on my 20's...bad idea. I did take Akh23456 in several races but he had bigger traction issues. His car does pull harder towards the 1000ft mark. M33 needs DR's! He was braking loose going into fourth at over 100mph. His traps were in the 126-127 range.

My two best times were 11.6 122 and 11.8 at 125. Akh23456 did get into the 11.2 - 11.3 range which is unreal! When referencing slips, I'm #6 (ESS 535), M33 (ESS 625)#122 and AKH23456 (AA)#7

btw - we were all using MDM for traction control today. Tried TC off and it was ugly...way too cool out. So that was restricting us even further..

no worries....any loss of traction at that speed is a little crazy

I almost hit the wall in 4th & 3rd about 5 times .. I'm not talking chirping I'm talking straight up burn Out ass out sideways "Nuts" too much power next time I'm slaping on DR's ...

I made 45 passes and beat the shit out of the car and not 1 hiccup !!

Flat out awesome job, 125 traps with that setup, are fantastic and on street tires as well. Imagine if you had a VT625 that day, in negative 1500' DA!!

Here's a good comparo between a VT625 and VT535, this should give you an idea of how you would have done.

Nice vidz! Have you tried using launch control on any of the runs? I tried it once since I got boosted and was completely useless going no where spinning.. but it did dump at 6k RPM, will try again later at a lower RPM.

I think it's impressive, but in those conditions I'm not that surprised, my car N/A with only 370whp trapped 119 in -200' DA, you guys were in -1400' DA, insanely good air for going fast. Conditions are everything for DR, and ET is all about the launch, and traction, as you know, you are at the mercy of how well they prep the track too. At Mfest in +3000' DA, a VT575 trapped 117, while my VT625 hit 125, for comparison sake, a stock C6 Z06 trapped 118 that day, in good air we all know a stock Z06 can trap 127+, so I think your trap makes sense based on the conditions you were in, but you also had a solid 60', you guys did great.
