Absolutely phenomenal!

I am currently finishing up another year of Medical School and I, too, hope to one day in the very far future own an M3 from each generation.

I thought I'd post a little update with a new addition to my collection of parts. These will be going on the car this winter. I was extremely lucky to score a set of these as they are no longer in production.

Agreed with previous posters. My dad owned a body shop in Chicago and a customer had a Henna/Tan E30 M3 he was always smashing. It had the Racing Dynamics 5 spoke wheels and was so sweet. Even at age 9 or 10, I would sit in that thing all day and just dream. Later in its life, it was abandoned by the owner and sat in our parking lot and homeless people were living in it. It sickened me. I finally turned 16 and went to the family member who at the time owned the shop to purcahse it and restore it as best I could at 16, but they had just sold it one of the painters... I was sick... but it worked out 20 years later...

Congrats on owning a clean original, the one that started the dream for a lot of people on this board...

I randomly search for a clean E30 M3 here in Chicago once in awhile. I have a rather difficult time, hehe. I hope to one day restore my own to Sport Evolution status

There is one in Libertyville right now that is well sorted for 22,500 and one in Orland Park which looks good in pics, but I am a little leary, for 18,500... I have the same sickness.

I originally wanted an E30 when I started my search, but my wife said... " If you are buying an M3, it is going to be a new one so there are no problems and you won't have to do work to it." I couldn't argue with her logic.

When the time is right an E30 will fall into my lap.
