Hey guys - I need 4 new tires on my '08 M3. I have the 19 inch sport wheels (forgot what package its called).

Are these the right tires to get? Is it best to order them and have BMW install them? All I know is that the prices on tire rack are much better than the $500 per tire that BMW quoted me!

Just another data point. I'm running 12mm & now 10mm in the rear (was 5mm) on my e92 with mostly no rubbing (A minor rub on the drivers rear but it is receding) . The rear fenders on the e92 are a hair wider than the e90. I switched to the 10mm rears after I dropped the car with KW's.

Can you please take some new pics of this setup? I'm still entrenched in my ongoing debate of doing 275's with spacers or 295's without spacers once my stock tires need replacing

Don't have the dealership install them... That will cost more than it needs to. Just go to a reputable tire shop and have them mount and balance them. But as a precautionary take some before photos, just in case!

It depends, WangTa. If you want to increase your OEM tire size by +1, then those are indeed the correct sizes. I run the same sizes on my wheels (as do a lot of folks on this forum) without any problems at all.

If you want to maintain your OEM tire size, then you need to get 245/35-19 and 265/35-19.

I am going to order my PSS's in 245/35/19 and 275/30/19. Although more tire is generally better for handling, I think that the OEM tire widths are enough tire and I do not want to add more unsprung weight and rotational mass unnecessarily.

Yes, I realize 275's are wider than OEM, but the 30 aspect ratio reduces the overall rubber to near OEM.

(BTW, I am getting the Avant Garde ZHP reps, which have an 18 ET front offset versus 31 ET for OEM ZHP wheels, so I need to run 245 at the front).

A 275/30-19 is quite a bit shorter than a 265/35-19. You want the 275/35-19's. Or you could ignore the 40,000+ posts on this forum discussing this subject, which seems more your style. The 275/30-19 has a significantly lower load rating than the factory tires too.

Given my shaming (see above). I think I will change my mind and go with 255/35/19 and 275/35/19 PSS's.

My only concern is potential rubbing at the front. I am going with Eibach springs. I am also getting the Avante Garde ZHP M359 reps, as the front 19x9 offset is 18 ET while the factory front offset is 31 ET. (I am going with these as I do not want spacers).

It looks like some of you guys are running 12mm spacers on your front OEM ZHP's, that is the equivalent of 19 ET, correct? And those guys seeing any rubbing with 255/35 with that setup and being lowered?

Better to finally see the light than not see it at all. You will be fine with 255/35/19 and 275/35/19 PSS's that's what I am running with 12mm front spacers and no rubbing.

I can admit my errors.

Thanks for the reassurance. I feel 255 is better suited to the wider 359M wheel, so I am glad it won't rub despite the 18 ET and 1" drop.

I've been running PSCups tires on my car for about 14 months and I just ordered a set of the PSS (in 265/18 and 285/18) as I haven't had time to get out to the track nearly as much as I used to. I'm really looking forward to giving a thorough review on them.
