Nissan Juke, winter vehicle

Looking to get a winter vehicle. Does anyone have a Juke or any suggestions? Don't want to have rear wheel drive. Also want to try something other than a BMW. Will only drive 5,000 miles a year on it.

Thanks

Avoid the juke it's do ugly it's embarrassing.

If on a budget look at a Toyota Tacoma, Ford Escape, Jeep Grand Cherokee, or Toyota Highlander. Obviously get 4wd or AWD on it.

I do not really care how it looks. I want a new 4WD vehicle that can get thru deep snow, slush. I will be putting snows on. It is something that I need for 3-4 months of the year that will see ~5,000 miles per year. Probably will be parked most of the year. Since it will be parked most of the year, don't really want to spend too much $ on it. Definitely less than US$30,000.

I also do not need something big. I am the only one who will ride in it and does not need luggage space.

I think X1 will get out of budget.

Thanks

Under $30K and you want new, 4WD/AWD, not big, but with good ground clearance.....depends on what you consider good ground clearance...subaru, honda cr-v, toyota rav4, but for actual good ground clearance you're pretty much going to have to go bigger, and then probably used... f-150, tacoma/tundra/etc, or lower quality/reliability.....wrangler/liberty/compass/etc.

I'd personally just go for a used CR-V (cheaper, more reliable), or maybe a Toureg or X3, if I were looking for winter vehicle that met your conditions above, except for the "new" part, of course. Why bother getting new if you're just going to trash it in road salt, slush, sanding trucks, ice, etc....just get something that is known to be reliable and save some coin.
I prefer new since I figured a new vehicle will probably tolerate sitting around a lot while not getting driven, and I can just start it and drive away when needed.

I will make sure I do not drive a Juke (if I actually get it) across the front of your house or park it there (god forbid)

They are butt ugly.

But, they are pretty damn fast. 0-60 in 6.1 seconds. Quarter mile in low 15 seconds. That is faster than the 128/328. Pretty sad..

The Juke appears to be a compromise in many ways, plus this is the first year of production (this usually means problems). Subaru makes tried/true vehicles for what you want to do that aren't any more expensive than the Juke. Oh, yeah, and they're not butt-ugly, either. Have a little self-respect
